Abstract

Education has an important role in shaping children's character, especially in primary age children (6-12 years). At this age, children experience significant cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Character education helps children develop moral and ethical values, such as honesty, discipline, and responsibility, through habits that are applied repeatedly. Schools and families play a crucial role in instilling strong character in children. Effective implementation of character education, as stipulated in regulation of the minister of education No. 23 of 2015 on Cultivating ethics, involves cooperation between schools, families and communities to create an environment that supports children's character development
