MODEL PROJECT-BASED LEARNING BERBASIS GREEN PESANTREN (Untuk Meningkatkan Literasi Lingkungan, Berpikir Sistem, dan Perilaku Pro-Lingkungan Santri)

Sustainability education needs learning models that connect environmental knowledge, systems thinking, responsible behavior, and local moral culture. In Indonesia, pesantren are a strategic ecosystem because Satu Data Kementerian Agama records 42,433 active pesantren in 2024/2025, while SIPSN/KLHK reports 34.21 million tons of municipal waste in 2024, with 40.26% unmanaged. This article develops an evidence-informed prototype of a Green Pesantren-based Project-Based Learning model using a Design-Based Research orientation. The procedure includes problem mapping from official secondary data, literature synthesis, design-principle formulation, prototype development, desk validation through evidence-to-design mapping, and preparation of empirical testing. The model integrates PjBL syntax, Education for Sustainable Development, UNESCO Green School Quality Standard, Green Pesantren principles, and Islamic ecological values: khalifah fil ardh, amanah, mizan, ihsan, and maslahah. The prototype contains a logic model, six-stage syntax, project modules, worksheets, rubrics, behavior scale, reflection journal, and teacher guideline. Desk validation indicates conceptual alignment with current evidence, but the article does not claim field effectiveness; expert validation, practicality testing, and quasi-experimental evaluation remain necessary.
