Authorship Criteria

J-EBI (Jurnal Ekonomi dan Bisnis Islam) recognizes authorship based on substantial scholarly contributions to the research and manuscript. All individuals listed as authors must have made meaningful contributions to the work, approved the final version, and agreed to be accountable for its accuracy and integrity.

To qualify for authorship, each author should meet the following criteria:

  1. Substantial Contribution: Contribute significantly to the conception or design of the study; data collection, analysis, or interpretation; or the development of the manuscript.

  2. Drafting and Revision: Participate in writing the manuscript or critically revising it for important intellectual content.

  3. Final Approval: Review and approve the final version submitted for publication.

  4. Accountability: Accept responsibility for the integrity of the work and cooperate in addressing questions concerning its accuracy or ethical conduct.

Individuals who contribute to the research but do not meet the authorship criteria should be acknowledged appropriately, with their consent.

Corresponding Author

The corresponding author is responsible for communicating with the editorial office throughout the submission, peer-review, and publication processes. They must ensure that all listed authors have approved the manuscript, agree to its submission to J-EBI, and have provided accurate information regarding their contributions.

Authorship Changes

Any request to add, remove, or rearrange authors after submission must be justified and agreed upon by all authors involved, including those being added or removed. The request is subject to editorial approval. Changes will not be accepted solely to reflect honorary, guest, or gift authorship.

Prohibition of Unethical Authorship Practices

J-EBI does not accept:

  • Gift or honorary authorship: Listing individuals who have not made substantial scholarly contributions.

  • Ghost authorship: Omitting individuals who have made substantial contributions without appropriate justification.

  • Misrepresentation of contributions: Providing inaccurate information about authors' roles or responsibilities.
